Why I’m posting on social media every day in September

As a marketing consultant, my job is to help business owners like you cut through the noise and get real results.
But let's be honest, the digital marketing landscape is a whirlwind of advice, trends, and conflicting strategies. One day, you're told to focus on one platform; the next, you're told to be everywhere at once.

Recently, I decided to put a bold strategy to the test. Inspired by a video from the marketing guru Neil Patel, I've taken on a personal challenge: posting at least once a day, every day for 30 days, across a minimum of six platforms.
Yes, you read that right. Six platforms. Every single day.
Why?
To understand what it truly takes, to experience the highs and lows firsthand, and to bring back the most valuable, actionable insights for my clients.
This isn’t just a stunt; it’s an experiment in discipline, content strategy, and platform-specific best practices.
The Challenge: A Deep Dive into Digital Dominance
Before this challenge, my business, Rechenda Does Marketing, had a solid presence on four key platforms: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn. These were my go-to channels for connecting with my audience and sharing my expertise.
But Neil Patel's video sparked a new idea. It highlighted the power of an omnipresence strategy—being everywhere your potential customers are, consistently.
This isn't about being stretched thin; it's about repurposing content strategically to maximise reach and authority.
So, I decided to add two more platforms to the mix: Pinterest and YouTube.
My goal is to post once a day on each of the following:
Facebook
Instagram
TikTok
LinkedIn
Pinterest
YouTube
The challenge is to create content that feels native to each platform, without burning out. It’s a test of my own systems and a promise to my clients that I won't recommend anything I haven't tried myself.
The Method: My 3-Step Content Strategy
So, how do you even begin to create 180+ pieces of content in a month without sacrificing quality? The secret lies in a solid content strategy and a system for repurposing.
1. The Pillar Content:Â
Everything starts with a single, high-value piece of content.
This could be a detailed blog post, a long-form video, or a comprehensive guide. For this challenge, a YouTube video is my primary "pillar." The long-form video allows me to dive deep into a topic, offering immense value to my audience.
2. The Repurpose & Distribute Plan:Â
This is where the magic happens. I break down my pillar content into smaller, digestible pieces for each platform.
YouTube: The full, 5-10 minute video goes here. It’s the home of my most in-depth content.
TikTok & Instagram Reels: I pull out a key clip—a quick tip, a powerful statistic, or a concise explanation—to create a short, engaging video. I add trending audio, text on screen, and a strong hook to grab attention.
Instagram & Facebook:Â I transform a key takeaway or a quote from the video into an image carousel or a short graphic. I use a compelling caption to prompt discussion and engagement.
LinkedIn:Â I turn the video's core message into a text-based post. I'll share a personal anecdote or a key lesson from the video, linking to the full content in the comments. This is a great way to drive professional engagement and show authority.
Pinterest:Â I create a visually appealing pin that acts as a teaser for the full video or a blog post. This helps drive traffic and build a visual presence.
3. Batching & Scheduling:Â
The only way to make this manageable is by creating content in batches. I dedicate specific days to filming all my YouTube videos for the week.
On another day, I sit down to edit, write captions, and schedule everything using a social media management tool. This a crucial step to avoid the daily grind of content creation.
The Initial Learnings: What This Challenge Has Taught Me
I’m only a short way into this challenge, but the insights are already pouring in.
1. Systems Are Everything: Without a clear, repeatable system, this challenge would be impossible. My content creation process is now a well-oiled machine. I've become more efficient at turning a single idea into content for multiple platforms. This is a lesson I’ll be bringing to all my clients.
2. The Power of Repurposing:Â Before this, I created content for each platform almost independently. Now, I see the incredible synergy. A single idea can fuel a week's worth of content across all my channels, saving me time and ensuring a consistent message.
3. Each Platform Demands a Unique Voice: While the core message remains the same, how you say it matters. A punchy TikTok clip is different from a professional LinkedIn post, and a visually driven Instagram Carousel is distinct from an educational YouTube video. It’s about adapting your content, not just copying and pasting.
4. The Value of Niche Platforms: While I was comfortable on Facebook and Instagram, platforms like Pinterest and YouTube are opening up new audiences for me. I’m reaching people who are actively searching for solutions to their problems, which is invaluable.
5. Burnout is a Real Threat:Â I won't lie; this challenge is demanding. It requires immense discipline and a solid routine. This has taught me to be even more empathetic to my clients and to focus on strategies that are sustainable for them, not just what's popular.
Your Takeaway: You Don't Have to Do it All (But You Should Have a Plan)
Now, I'm not suggesting you have to go and post on six platforms for 30 days. This is my job and my way of experimenting to bring back the best, most efficient strategies for my clients.
The key takeaway for you is this: don't be afraid to experiment, and always have a system. Whether you're focusing on one platform or three, a clear content strategy, a consistent voice, and a plan for repurposing your content will make your marketing efforts more effective and less stressful.
I'll be sharing more updates on this challenge in the coming weeks, so stay tuned. In the meantime, if you need help figuring out your own marketing strategy, feel free to get in touch. Let's make your marketing work for you.
